The Winter Blues

Friday, January 19, 2018

Is there such a thing? I don’t know but I’m sure feeling it. It’s definitely a quite and not exciting time after the Christmas season for us here in Boston. It’s dark, cold and hard to get motivated to do much these days.

I follow Jamie  a mom and stepmom on Instagram that blogs all about the stepmom and mom life, and she was talking about the Winter Blues. So, it’s gotta be a thing right? Ha!

Anyway, I’m working on getting out of the funk. Looking for activities that are either free or won’t break the bank in Boston. Also getting together with family and/or friends for some play dates for the kids (and the moms).

We went out to dinner as a family last night, then headed to the mall for some mango (a new stand that sells $6 mango with basically any topping you can think of) and puppy watching.

This weekend we have a birthday in the family, so it’ll  be fun to see everyone. Lucas has his gymnastics class, and a play date after at Barnes and Noble and I’m hoping to visit the Children’s Museum on Sunday for some toddler fun!

We love Barnes and Noble because yes, you can purchase books but they have a really neat children’s area with a train table that Lucas is obsessed with! He also enjoys the Children’s Museum so much, we do too and appreciate having a membership.

What are some ways you are trying to keep busy with Winter season? Any fun things to do? Let me know in the comments section below!

Also, don’t forget to subscribe to our vlog channel to see what we get up to this weekend! We post a new video every Monday and Thursday! Last Monday we vlogged a little bit about how we are going to keep our exercise resolutions for 2018. Yesterday, I posted a quick look at the day of a stay home mom to a toddler and stepmom to a 3rd grader!

We’d love it if you subscribed and left us a comment!

Happy weekend!!
