A Weekend In May

Monday, May 29, 2017

For us as a family, May brings several celebrations. We love to celebrate the beginning of warmer weather, I now celebrate Mother's Day, Jose's birthday is towards the end of the month, it usually falls on Memorial Day weekend and our wedding anniversary is on the 31st. Let's not forget to mention that there is such a thing as Stepmother's Day the Sunday after Mother's Day? That's pretty cool in my book.

This weekend we celebrated Jose's birthday, a graduation and birthday party. It was a weekend full of celebrations.

I was so happy when I was able to pick out a few pieces from Pinkblush because I knew there were so many fun events coming up that we would be celebrating.

I loved this top I wore a few weeks ago, on Saturday, I wore this blue and white striped one and paired it with a basic white pant. It was perfect. I love it so much because of the way it fits my body shape, the style, and how flexible it is for me to breast feed in. We had a graduation and a birthday party to attend on Saturday and I was surrounded by so many people. It was very comforting to know I wasn't going to be showing anything extra while nursing my son. Definitely a stylish and nursing friendly top.

I'm looking forward to more festivities coming up and remembering so many who lost their lives and/or loved ones while serving our country. Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day.

*Thank you PinkBlush for another nursing friendly top.

On My First Mother's Day

Sunday, May 14, 2017

Words will never be enough to describe how you make me feel. How I feel when I look at you, when you touch my face, when you are nursing and you look up at me. When I see you discovering and your eyes light up. You are the light of my eyes, on hard days and easy days, I will always choose you, love you and take care of you.

Today, my first Mother's Day, I thank you for being mine. For being my son, how lucky am I to have you!

To my mother, my best friend, a big Happy Mothers Day. I love you everyday. & to Emily, my princess, thank you for letting me love you.

There is a new video with a few moments we captured from my first Mother's Day weekend!

A Mother's First Mother's Day

Sunday, May 7, 2017

With Mother's Day around the corner and it being my very first Mother's Day, I am of course feeling all sorts of emotional and loving on my baby a little extra (if that's even possible). My entry into this motherhood journey, my son, Lucas. Not a day goes by that I don't think about how blessed and thankful I feel to have you.

Almost nine months have gone by since you took that first breath and with it took mine away! Nine months of making me smile and cry, sometimes at the same time. Nine months of nourishing you, nine months of you loving breastfeeding. What a beautiful bond. Nine months of seeing your milestones, watching you grow, seeing all of your firsts. You're learning everyday.

I love you son, thank you for making me a mother, thank you for making me your mother.

**Thank you to my amazing husband who took these photos and thank you PinkBlush for sending me a few nursing friendly tops I could wear for all of the upcoming Mother's Day celebrations. I especially loved this one I wore over the weekend to a family BBQ because it's perfect for breastfeeding my son with the very convenient zipper on the front.

Baby's First Time On a Swing

Monday, April 3, 2017

I have been waiting for a nice day in Boston to take Lucas to the park.

I'm Rich.

Monday, March 27, 2017

These are the days, they say. My grandmother always says "estas rica" it means "you're rich" to moms who have young kids.

I never really got it until now that I have my Lucas! She means, we're rich in love, he wants to be held, you know exactly what he's doing, who he's with... one day, they grow up and they want to be on their own and eventually they do go out on their own... woah! That's scary to think about.

Lucas is watching us all of the time now, and he's learning, I can see it. One specific example is when he sees me getting toys from the drawer under his crib, he's seen me pull it open and get the toys so many times now. He now does this on his own! It's amazing until he jams his fingers trying to close it back.

He's also doing things, we call them mañas, these aren't necessarily good things haha! For the past week or so he's been spitting at us. We are thinking the vibration he makes with his lips while spitting might help him soothe his teething pains. Not sure though. Look at that face, I thank God for my healthy and happy baby everyday.

There's a new vlog on our channel, it's a chatty one! How was your weekend? What's new? Today, I'm linking up for Weekending with Biana! Happy Monday!!

One Second Everyday in January

Friday, February 17, 2017

When I saw Macy posting these videos I knew I wanted to do the same. We already post vlog style videos at least three times a week, but this was such a cool idea. One second of every day! It would capture our month in a different way than dictating what we are doing. Here is our first month, don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to our channel by clicking on the red SUBSCRIBE button so you could keep watching our other videos!

Food Before One is Just For Fun

Thursday, February 16, 2017

With Lucas turning six months, I'm feeling more confident giving him more fresh foods to try! I'm not pushing him to eat as he is still nursing and that is and will hopefully continue to be his primary source of food.

Lucas Is Six Months

What Could You Do Today...

My brother in law asked me a question that I thought I would ask you. It's a question meant to expand "small talk", and make it "big talk".
