First Week at Home

Friday, July 15, 2016

Today, I'm sharing and linking up with Amanda to five things from my first week at home waiting for baby!!

I've been home for five days. I stopped working at 35 weeks, and when I did, I still felt good enough to work with the boys, I was slightly worried I stopped too early. Now that my first week at home is over, I am so glad I stopped while I was up, rather than down ha! I'm feeling pretty exhausted and it's been wonderful to nest (very little so far), run some errands and nap.

I got a craving, I wrote about rarely getting cravings during my pregnancy, as of now anyway. I got one at the beginning of this week, I really wanted enpanadillas. So I made my way over to the store to get the ingredients and had my mom come over to help and eat with us.

Reading to Lucas is a favorite activity for me these days I sure hope he loves books like I did when I was young. I sit in his nursery and just read. It's a beautiful thing.

Walking. Loads of walking has been done this week. Every day, at least two walks. I've been trying to make it a point to walk early in the morning to avoid the brutal mid afternoon sun. My belly is the focal point when I'm out for my walk, it's so out there.

Our friends and family were so generous with us at our babyshower (throughout the whole pregnancy really). We had a few gift cards left over from target and we basically have all we need for baby, for now. I thought I'd get a head start on feeding utensils, plates etc. for when Lucas is ready to start solids.

I had mint chocolate chip ice cream too! It was so delicious, and so perfect for the weather. Mint chocolate chip is not my favorite ice cream but it's one of them. It made for a great Summer treat.

Happy Friday friends! Looking forward to some weekend fun.
