Lucas' BabyQ

Wednesday, June 8, 2016

Lots has been happening over here, lots except for some blogging. I'll spare you the it's been busy talk..

Over the weekend we had our babyq and it was just perfect, I felt like I was planning another wedding (a much smaller wedding of course) as our first year anniversary was right before the shower. I posted a wedding video and our vlog from our anniversary, check out how Jose surprised me!

Ok, the pictures! I'm surprised at the lack of photos we actually took, I guess we were just enjoying the BabyQ (see vlog). Check out our vlog of the day here!

I wore a non maternity dress from Target and I loved the way it fit. I went on a hunt for a strapless bra because the few that I have don't fit anymore. I curled my hair a bit but the heat destroyed them 2.5 seconds after I went outside. Lastly, I wore nude flats from Target-I'll let you in on a little secret, I wanted to wear sandals but just didn't have any time to get a pedicure so I went with the flats. Shhh! We are besties now!

I loved the idea of having a babyq because Jose loves to host and have bbq's in the Summer time, I wanted a low key event where both men and women could attend and it was just perfect.

We played the usual babyshower games "Don't say baby", "Tinkle in the pot", "Drink the bottle", and "Eat your dinner". That was the funniest and it's in the vlog! We had low key prices for the winners and were surprised at how many people wanted to participate. We also had our guests vote when baby Lucas will be here! Looking forward to seeing who will be right! Lastly, we had friends guess the size of my belly with string, my auntie guessed it right on the money and gave me the string to save.

Anywho, what's hap-pining with you?

  7. So cute! Love it. Looks like y'all had a blast. I went to a shower a couple months ago where I had to yell, "My water broke!", when my mini baby in an ice cube melted. Shower games are so much fun! Hope y'all got everything you needed.
