Oh, Hello There 3rd Trimester

Monday, May 23, 2016

Third trimester is here with a punch! Here's an update of what went on towards the end of my second trimester and beginning of the third.

Baby moves more than he kicks, I can see him squirming. There are no words to describe the feeling I get when I see him moving around, kicking and just knowing he's growing inside of me.

I took the glucose exam (pardon the lack of correct medical term), I passed with flying colors according to my doctor. I posted on my Facebook page about taking the drink and got a mix of opinions in regards to women not liking the drink and thinking it wasn't too bad!

#Teamsleep so far.

I have yet to see a stretch mark, although I've been reading that it may be more genetic. My mom says she got stretch marks with me because I was so big. I'm not worried about it, I might get some towards the end of the pregnancy and I'm fine with it. I am however, lathering up with Burts Bees Vitamin E oil daily, twice a day even.

Still no specific cravings, I do love bread, but I've always loved bread before pregnancy.

A few things I have noticed are a small amount of acne on my chest, still an oily nose (dry before), and a sudden reaction to my ring. There was a white patch where my marriage rings are. Doctor said it looked like excema and could just be pregnancy related since I've used them for a while now and never had the problem.

Belly button is slowly coming out. It feels super funny and I play with it constantly!

Nursery is coming together. We have the dresser/changing table to set up and clothes to wash.

Babyshower is coming up and we are so excited to celebrate baby boy coming into our family! Pictures to follow I'm sure!

My mood has been a little over the top, super sentimental these days!

At my last doctors appointment I got a whooping cough vaccine, and heard the baby's heart.

So far for maternity clothes, I am still using the maternity jeans from Old Navy (pictured above) but with warmer weather hitting Boston these days I've been sporting tshirt dresses and I'll be pulling out the shorts soon enough. I am sick of the jeans, they are not comfortable anymore and I find myself pulling them up constantly. I found this awesome dress for $5! I'll be posting about later this week!

Any questions? I'd be more than happy to answer! How is your Monday going so far?

My last blog update.
Giving in to pregnancy cravings.
