Day In The Life

Wednesday, May 4, 2016

The other day, I read this post from Annie and thought it would be fun to do one before Lucas comes into my world and changes everything. I've always worked with kids so I pretty much know what days can be like with babies and toddlers, so no surprises there. I'm curious to see how Lucas will be, because from my personal experience, kids can be SO different when parents are present.

Anywho, day in the life: a work day.

6:00 a.m
Wake up call. Regardless if it's a work day or not, I wake up around the same time everyday. Sometimes a little earlier and if I'm not working I'll fall back a sleep a little later.

7:00 a.m
My coffee run. I love Joseph's Bakery near my work, they know me and my order by heart and are super sweet to me and now Lucas.

7:15 a.m
Work day begins. I can't share too much as I work with children, but it's super fun, we play, I feed them, we go to activities, our for walks, we make crafts, they poop/pee and they take wonderful naps where I get to rest some. I'm very excited to have Lucas with me so that I could do all the fun things I have done with other children for so many years.

5:00-5:45 p.m
Work day is over, I head home excited to have dinner.

6:00 p.m
Dinner varies, sometimes Jose and I get takeout, go to a restaurant, have leftovers or Jose will have something ready for us when I get home.

On lazy nights we will watch several awesome episodes of Game of Thrones in our new living room space. I multi task and mingle on social media and/or work on a blog post for an hour and then focus on the show.

Lately, after dinner we have been busy with nursery things or new living room space things. Picking out decor and functional pieces, setting up new furniture, and handing out BabyQ invitations.

I usually get sleepy first, we shower and go to bed but not before watching a YouTube vlog or two.

That's about it for a normal work day, of course not every day is the same. I might leave work early, go for our Pena5K run, go on a date night etc.

What is your day typically like?
