Gender Reveal Inspiration & Old Wives Tales

Friday, March 11, 2016

Today is the day! We are finding out if we are having a little miss or little mr!

When thinking about ideas for a possible gender reveal, I took to Pinterest, immediately. I wasn't surprised to see that most of the ideas were in the  pink and blue color theme.

I originally wanted something different than the pink and blue and thought I would do different colors like purple and green, especially since those are both Jose and my favorite colors. However, looking at the two colors together, I changed my mind and love the mint and peach instead. Our wedding was mostly white with some hints of mint here and there, so I thought that would tie in nicely.

We are going for the pink and blue and having a very small gender reveal but, I found this and fell in love with it. We are not doing a huge gender reveal, but we are planning on having our closest family and friends over after we find out.

I am much more of a silver than gold person, but I do love how the gold touches look with the mint and the peach. Be sure to check out the rest of the photos to see my gender reveal inspiration.  I thought it would be useful to share since I had a hard time looking for different colors.

Lastly, I wanted to share some Old Wives Tales and see what they say we are having:

Craving Salty Foods- BOY
No Morning Sickness- BOY
Lying on Left Side- BOY
Wedding Ring Went Back and Forth-BOY
Chinese Calendar says- GIRL
Daddy is Maintaining his Weight-BOY
Belly Growth is Round-BOY
Carrying High-GIRL
Skin is Dry- BOY (Naturally have dry skin)

There you have it..! Take a guess, boy or girl? Can't wait to see what we are having!!

  2. I can't wait to find out!! I LOVE the peach and mint for the gender reveal. I knew we wanted to do mint since it was one of our wedding colors as well, but pairing it with peach is so smart!
