Baby Boy's Nursery

Thursday, March 31, 2016

I saw this tree yesterday and thought about how much I love Spring! Come on, I know you're in there somewhere Spring. Bring us some warmer weather!

When we started to think about the nursery, both Jose and I knew that we would want to make sure we didn't slack and leave things for the last minute. However, I never thought we would be this ahead. The nursery doesn't have a closet so we knew we would need a big storage area for his things. We went with this wardrobe (same size, different layout inside) from IKEA and designed it ourselves. We got exactly what we thought would be the most convenient for right now and down the line when his clothes grow with him.

I loved this crib the most when I was browsing all things baby! I love how simple it is and has more storage on the bottom. Again, with no closet in the room, I know this will come in handy.

Jose built both of these! Yes, already! Hey, I'm not complaining. My goal was to have a stress free last few months of pregnancy and be able to enjoy the fun coming up. The fact that he wardrobe and crib is set up, is amazing.

Anywho, if you've been watching, you would have seen some behind the scenes work. The room needed new ceiling tiles, they are crispy white now, new paint color, and Emily helped build the crib!

For the walls, we went with the typical soft baby blue! I know! I didn't think I would go for the blue, I tried hard to stay away from it and was leaning towards a green or gray color.

We are so excited to see the room coming together and are looking forward to having it complete with our sweet baby boy in it.

Have a very happy Thursday! Don't forget to subscribe to our vlog channel to see more updates!

  1. I think the color is great. I always go in to a new painting job looking for new colors, and always gravitates towards some kind of blue/blue-gray haha. So I think it's perfect!
