Weekending: Christmas In The City

Monday, December 14, 2015

Happy Monday! Today, I am linking up with Biana and Macy to share a little of the weekend and our Christmas cards, join us!!

Christmas in downtown Boston is so pretty! Jose surprised Emily and I with a night out in the city over the weekend! We loved seeing the lights and the beautiful tree, see our vlog here. The main reason for going downtown was to go on a horse and carriage ride. I had never been on one and it was fun to experience in a city you usually drive in, the horse was beautiful too. It really was a fun night in the city.

Meg was the sweetest and let me know the other day that Bath and Body works had an amazing sale, I put in an order and it came in over the weekend. I wasn't sure I wanted to brave the stores but checked online and the sale was going on there too. I got 6 of $60 including taxes and shipping. I lit up Tis the Season first, it smells perfect, just like Christmas season!

How pretty are these mugs from our favorite breakfast diner, The Good Diner? They are always very festive during a holiday and they are not disappointing this Christmas season with these mugs.

This gift I received this weekend was so nice, it's a tower of goodies that comes with 4 boxes filled with breakfast related foods from Wolfermans. Tis the season for making people feel warm and cozy. This gift sure did the trick. I wasn't expecting this at all. The nicest part of this gift was the card and the sweet words inside it.

One of the highlights of the weekend... Emily's picture with Santa. How cute? Emily has decided that she no longer wants to sit on his lap, nor the Easter a bunny's lap and we love that. She looks just as sweet sitting next to Santa! Shes getting so big! See her Santa pictures from age 3 to now!

Look what I had this weekend, pasteles! Oh my! These are so yummy! They are pretty difficult to make so my family makes them randomly throughout the year, but mostly at Christmas time. These are definitely a must in our family feasts. I personally like my pasteles with a side of ketchup to lightly dip them in, yum! Other people like them with hot sauce. Some rice, pasteles and pernil and you're good to go!

Lastly, our Christmas cards finally came in, just in time for today's link up with Macy. We went the super simple route and did a photo of the three of us in the front and Emily's photo on the back with the year. Both of these photos were taken during our last trip to New Hampshire and we really loved them. We contemplated using a photo from our wedding but ended up going with this photo instead. Can't wait to see all of your cards!

How was your weekend!? I need to seriously start gift wrapping more of our presents! My office is currently a mini store filled with bags and boxes of gifts!

Linking up with Biana for weekending and Macy to share our Christmas cards.
