Thankful For Another Year

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Today, I wanted to share some of my little goals for next year. It's a little scary to share these with the world, but here it goes:

1. I want to read for fun. Carly has inspired me to read and she has loads of book reviews on her blog. With work, the blog, school and being present with my family I find it super hard to find time for it. However, you know what they say, you make time for what you want to do. I used to be a book worm when I was growing up. I would love to read 2 books next year (don't judge me, I read a whopping 0 books in 2015).

2. I want to have a better schedule for posting on the blog and on our vlog channel. I used to post Monday-Friday but I found myself not taking part in certain activities at home in order to write out posts, take photos and then be active on social media when a post went live. I love posting on Monday's because I link up with Biana to share the weekend whereabouts. I'm thinking to also post Thursday's and anything extra would be sweet. I also, want to have an upload schedule for our vlogs. Something where people know they can expect a new video. Wish me luck.

3. Finish my degree. I am 3 classes away from my bachelors degree, I am set to finish in April and I couldn't be more excited.

4. Take better care of myself. I mean that in every way possible, make better food choices, exercise more, figure out a night routine, read more, get regular hair cuts/trims etc.

5. Be more present. That sort of contradicts number 2 where my goal is to have a posting schedule. However, if goal number 2 goes to plan I'll have set times to do certain things and then when I'm with family and spending time with them I can be sure to give quality time.

Remember goals are just that, goals, it's ok if you don't accomplish them or it takes a little longer than planned to get it done. I'm pretty sure I'll meet my goals for 2016 but if I don't, there's no pressure. Nobody is perfect!

Have a wonderful night ringin' in the new year! Bless you all, and thank you for stopping by my little corner of the Internet.

Weekending: Last One of 2015

Monday, December 28, 2015

Can't believe I just wrote that out. It's been a little bit since I sat and wrote a post. Right before Christmas was just so busy and hectic, lots going on. I'll share some with you today, although looking through my phone I don't see many photos.

Christmas Eve I had off and we picked up our new car! I don't have a photo of it haha! It makes appearances on our vlogs. As soon as Emily came home she opened a present.

Our family celebrates Christmas Eve so we had dinner and opened our presents quite early. We usually always open them around 8pm, so it'll give Jose a chance to build and Emily a chance to play with some.

Christmas morning came fast and Santa came even though we forgot to leave him cookies and milk! He left us a note saying he helped himself. Our Elf Eva left with him. Emily was very excited about getting everything on her list, even the pink fancy purse she forgot to put on her list but told her dad she hoped Santa would get it.

After opening her presents from Santa we went to my brothers house where my family got together to open presents and have lots of food. Jarely never disappoints with her table set for kings and queens. We basically spent the whole day there then went home and Emily headed straight to her dollhouse to play with. I tried to organize some of the leftover chaos.

Saturday, we usually have ballet but they are closed for 2 weeks so we watched movies with the family at home, we even pulled out our popcorn and then headed to Olive Garden for some dinner. Sunday, we had our usual big family breakfast and watched the Smurfs movies, shutting it off just in time for the Patriots. We headed to Panera Bread for some yummy food and that was pretty much the end of it. Lastly, We finished off our Vlogmas for this year.

How was your weekend? Sure hope your Christmas was wonderful! We were really blessed to spend the time with family and be able to give and receive amazing gifts.

I saw this awesome sunset the other day, it looked so beautiful, I took other photos but erased them by accident.

I was shopping, browsing the web, the other day and saw this pretty hat at Old Navy, I got excited, tried to add it to my cart and it was sold out! Ha! Has that ever happened to you!? They have it now for $6, and don't forget to shop with ebates

Did you see our vlog!? We finally purchased frames for the enlargements we have from our wedding.

Thinking back to last year, we had our Ugly Sweater party with friends! Looking forward to getting together again this year to celebrate!

My Favorite Videos To Date

Friday, December 4, 2015

Hi friends, if you have followed along for a while, you know one of my hobbies is to post videos on our YouTube channel. Its so fun looking back and seeing our day to day or trips. Any who, I wasn't planning on posting anything today here on my blog, (I even posted my 5, yesterday) but I did post a new video on our YouTube channel and thought I would share it with you, and in the process share 4 other of my favorite videos. I really love the beginning of today's video, I tried to record and edit it so it looked like a mini movie, and then towards the end you see a more "vlog" style video at the place I reviewed here, and then later at the tree lighting and meeting Santa.

If you're not subscribed already we would love it if you did and left us a comment on what you thought! We love constructive criticism!

Five things on this Thursday

Thursday, December 3, 2015

ONE.
I've been eyeing this bag for such a long time, but I've honestly got way too many bags and I'm not sure I want to add it to my Christmas Wishlist.

TWO.
I finally got my pandora bracelet and charms cleaned yesterday while at the mall. I was talking to Jose about it and wondering why it gets so tarnished, it's so expensive.

THREE.
When I got engaged I vowed to always have a pretty manicure because everyone was always asking to see the ring. Haha.. Then when we got married I said the same thing.. But reality is sometimes my nails look like this...

FOUR.
I'm so excited to decorate the tree tomorrow with Emily! It's going to be so fun. We've already got planned out, we'll watch a Christmas movie, have got chocolate and decorate!

FIVE.
Who's been watching our vlogmas? It's seriously so fun to look back on last years. Looking forward to some extra fun this weekend!

EXTRA.
I've been trying to spread some Christmas cheer with small giveaways on different social media platforms. Tuesday, it was on Instagram, congratulations Meg (she's currently hosting one on her blog right now). Yesterday, it was on my snapchat- vero_var, Jarely won that one.
Today, it's here. Just write down in the comments "enter me", I'll give you a number, run it through random.org and there will be a winner. The giveaway? That's right, $10 gift card to your choice- Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. I'll pick a winner at 8pm tonight. Make sure you're following this blog on GFC or Bloglovin' .

Places To Eat In North Conway

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

It's the first on December, YAY, and we are doing VLOGMAS, again (we did it last year). Yesterday, I posted about my weekend and mentioned that I would write a separate post on two of the places we went to eat. We went to Glen Junction Family Restaurant for breakfast and Elvio's Pizza for dinner one night. They were both equally delicious. I mentioned Cafe Noche in the past as one of the places we go to have dinner when we visit North Conway, but we didn't go there during this trip.
