Thankful For Another Year

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Today, I wanted to share some of my little goals for next year. It's a little scary to share these with the world, but here it goes:

1. I want to read for fun. Carly has inspired me to read and she has loads of book reviews on her blog. With work, the blog, school and being present with my family I find it super hard to find time for it. However, you know what they say, you make time for what you want to do. I used to be a book worm when I was growing up. I would love to read 2 books next year (don't judge me, I read a whopping 0 books in 2015).

2. I want to have a better schedule for posting on the blog and on our vlog channel. I used to post Monday-Friday but I found myself not taking part in certain activities at home in order to write out posts, take photos and then be active on social media when a post went live. I love posting on Monday's because I link up with Biana to share the weekend whereabouts. I'm thinking to also post Thursday's and anything extra would be sweet. I also, want to have an upload schedule for our vlogs. Something where people know they can expect a new video. Wish me luck.

3. Finish my degree. I am 3 classes away from my bachelors degree, I am set to finish in April and I couldn't be more excited.

4. Take better care of myself. I mean that in every way possible, make better food choices, exercise more, figure out a night routine, read more, get regular hair cuts/trims etc.

5. Be more present. That sort of contradicts number 2 where my goal is to have a posting schedule. However, if goal number 2 goes to plan I'll have set times to do certain things and then when I'm with family and spending time with them I can be sure to give quality time.

Remember goals are just that, goals, it's ok if you don't accomplish them or it takes a little longer than planned to get it done. I'm pretty sure I'll meet my goals for 2016 but if I don't, there's no pressure. Nobody is perfect!

Have a wonderful night ringin' in the new year! Bless you all, and thank you for stopping by my little corner of the Internet.

Weekending: Last One of 2015

Monday, December 28, 2015

Can't believe I just wrote that out. It's been a little bit since I sat and wrote a post. Right before Christmas was just so busy and hectic, lots going on. I'll share some with you today, although looking through my phone I don't see many photos.

Christmas Eve I had off and we picked up our new car! I don't have a photo of it haha! It makes appearances on our vlogs. As soon as Emily came home she opened a present.

Our family celebrates Christmas Eve so we had dinner and opened our presents quite early. We usually always open them around 8pm, so it'll give Jose a chance to build and Emily a chance to play with some.

Christmas morning came fast and Santa came even though we forgot to leave him cookies and milk! He left us a note saying he helped himself. Our Elf Eva left with him. Emily was very excited about getting everything on her list, even the pink fancy purse she forgot to put on her list but told her dad she hoped Santa would get it.

After opening her presents from Santa we went to my brothers house where my family got together to open presents and have lots of food. Jarely never disappoints with her table set for kings and queens. We basically spent the whole day there then went home and Emily headed straight to her dollhouse to play with. I tried to organize some of the leftover chaos.

Saturday, we usually have ballet but they are closed for 2 weeks so we watched movies with the family at home, we even pulled out our popcorn and then headed to Olive Garden for some dinner. Sunday, we had our usual big family breakfast and watched the Smurfs movies, shutting it off just in time for the Patriots. We headed to Panera Bread for some yummy food and that was pretty much the end of it. Lastly, We finished off our Vlogmas for this year.

How was your weekend? Sure hope your Christmas was wonderful! We were really blessed to spend the time with family and be able to give and receive amazing gifts.

I saw this awesome sunset the other day, it looked so beautiful, I took other photos but erased them by accident.

I was shopping, browsing the web, the other day and saw this pretty hat at Old Navy, I got excited, tried to add it to my cart and it was sold out! Ha! Has that ever happened to you!? They have it now for $6, and don't forget to shop with ebates

Did you see our vlog!? We finally purchased frames for the enlargements we have from our wedding.

Thinking back to last year, we had our Ugly Sweater party with friends! Looking forward to getting together again this year to celebrate!

What are your thoughts today!?

My Favorite Videos To Date

Friday, December 4, 2015

Hi friends, if you have followed along for a while, you know one of my hobbies is to post videos on our YouTube channel. Its so fun looking back and seeing our day to day or trips. Any who, I wasn't planning on posting anything today here on my blog, (I even posted my 5, yesterday) but I did post a new video on our YouTube channel and thought I would share it with you, and in the process share 4 other of my favorite videos. I really love the beginning of today's video, I tried to record and edit it so it looked like a mini movie, and then towards the end you see a more "vlog" style video at the place I reviewed here, and then later at the tree lighting and meeting Santa.

If you're not subscribed already we would love it if you did and left us a comment on what you thought! We love constructive criticism!

 Happy Friday!

Five things on this Thursday

Thursday, December 3, 2015

I've been eyeing this bag for such a long time, but I've honestly got way too many bags and I'm not sure I want to add it to my Christmas Wishlist.

I finally got my pandora bracelet and charms cleaned yesterday while at the mall. I was talking to Jose about it and wondering why it gets so tarnished, it's so expensive.

When I got engaged I vowed to always have a pretty manicure because everyone was always asking to see the ring. Haha.. Then when we got married I said the same thing.. But reality is sometimes my nails look like this...

I'm so excited to decorate the tree tomorrow with Emily! It's going to be so fun. We've already got planned out, we'll watch a Christmas movie, have got chocolate and decorate!

Who's been watching our vlogmas? It's seriously so fun to look back on last years. Looking forward to some extra fun this weekend!

I've been trying to spread some Christmas cheer with small giveaways on different social media platforms. Tuesday, it was on Instagram, congratulations Meg (she's currently hosting one on her blog right now). Yesterday, it was on my snapchat- vero_var, Jarely won that one.
Today, it's here. Just write down in the comments "enter me", I'll give you a number, run it through and there will be a winner. The giveaway? That's right, $10 gift card to your choice- Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. I'll pick a winner at 8pm tonight. Make sure you're following this blog on GFC or Bloglovin' .

Places To Eat In North Conway

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

It's the first on December, YAY, and we are doing VLOGMAS, again (we did it last year). Yesterday, I posted about my weekend and mentioned that I would write a separate post on two of the places we went to eat. We went to Glen Junction Family Restaurant for breakfast and Elvio's Pizza for dinner one night. They were both equally delicious. I mentioned Cafe Noche in the past as one of the places we go to have dinner when we visit North Conway, but we didn't go there during this trip.

Longest Weekend EVER

Monday, November 30, 2015

Who else considers Thanksgiving the longest weekend of the year? My weekend usually starts on Wednesday each year and it's really just the best. Sometimes Christmas falls on the weekend and that's nice too, but without fail Thanksgiving always makes a long weekend! I filmed choosing the winner for my $50 VISA gift card giveaway on my snap chat-vero_var. Congratulation Ingrid..! Thank you to everyone who entered! It was so fun!

Christmas Bucket List

Friday, November 27, 2015

It's officially Christmas at our house, even Eva made an appearance (Emily's elf). She left Emily a note letting her know she's here for Christmas! We started VLOGMAS, (last year's vlogmas) and are so excited to have our living room smell like Christmas.

As Of Right Now + (Last Day To Enter Giveaway)

Five things as of right now:

Office Desk Makeover

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

I am very fortunate to have a small space that I call my office/closet, I never had that until recently. I guess I never really needed it before since I never owned so much stuff. The room stores my shoes, nail polishes, desk, vanity, paper mess and photo albums. It works and it's wonderful but it doesn't have the vibe I would love. I'm not the only one that goes on Pinterest and day dreams over the pretty office space pictures... Right? Today I wanted to share some pretty photos I have pinned as inspiration for a home office. Ill spare you the photos of the space as of right now. I am hoping to one day do a before and after.

Weekend of Outfits

Monday, November 23, 2015

This weekend was the weekend of #outfitselfies. I took one every day this weekend, which doesn't always happen. We did some shopping for now, Christmas and for a donation.

Five Things On Friday + A Giveaway!

Friday, November 20, 2015

ONE. I confess, I am totally into celebrating Thanksgiving, but I'm secretly waiting for it to come and go so I could decorate and be extra festive! I do pretty well the whole beginning of the month, but once we are down to the week before Thanksgiving, I get a little excited.

TWO. I have been working on a Wishlist/On my radar post. Every time I see something I add it to the list. I want to upload it but I keep adding more things!
Some of those things:

THREE. My baby brother and his wife Betsy are having another baby! What a blessing! He is deployed in Turkey right now, and I feel really sad that Betsy is in England with my nephew Yoshua, without him for the holidays. How cute is their announcement photo they took right before he left for deployment.

FOUR. I keep watching our vlogs from our vacation this past August! We tried getting tickets for February vacation to go back but the prices go up for school vacation week. How rude!

FIVE. With the holidays around the corner, I wanted to host a few quick giveaways on a few of my  social media forums. I've seen bloggers do giveaways for birthdays (mine was on October 27th), blogiversary's (mine was on October 2nd), but I thought I would wait until we were closer to Christmas and make it a party!

I'm giving away a $50 Visa gift card. I chose the Visa so that you could use it on anything your little heart desires. Enter below and follow on my social media to see where I'll post my next giveaway. a Rafflecopter giveaway

-Open until Friday, November 27th 12pm EST
-You must be 18+
-Winner will have 24 hours to respond with address

Happy Friday!

Who else thinks it's absolutely insane Thanksgiving is just around the corner already!? Crazy! I was looking around the other day for some Thanksgiving activities over on Pinterest and found some cool things, see here.

How To Add Hashtags Automatically On Instagram

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

I don't know if I've been hiding under a rock or what.. I must have been.. I had no idea this was even an option.

Story Behind The Photo

Tuesday, November 17, 2015

I was so excited to link up with Elle today (next link up on December 22), I put it in my calendar and as the date approached I couldn't think of a photo I wanted to write about. Then I saw it, on the very top of my photos on my phone, and I thought, Yes!

These two beautiful girls are my nieces. On the left is Gabriella, and on the right is Arianna. Both daughters of two different brothers. Arianna (on the left is also my god daughter and birthday thief).

This photo makes me super happy, I'll tell you why... When they were both younger, they didn't really like to be held (Gabriella by me, Arianna by anyone). So the photos we took were more like this one:

On this photo, Arianna is on the left and Gabriella is on the left. My slightly annoyed and sad face in the middle.

We've come a long way! They super duper love me now and it means the world to me to be able to hold them without them crying haha!

Linking up with Elle, go share your story behind the picture.

While On A Weekend Getaway, Others Were In Harm

Monday, November 16, 2015

Why harm?
Why cause fear?

While we were out on a weekend getaway, Friday night as we started to settle down in our hotel, I saw #PrayForParis posts on social media. I didn't even want to begin to imagine what was going on. Why? It terrifies me to think that there are people in this world that are capable of doing these acts of violence. It is just awful to see the horrible moments some people are going through in different parts of the world, while you're having a good time. Emily is only 7, so we did not listen to the radio or watch the news on tv until she was asleep. I almost decided not to post today. However, during these times of horror, it's when we need to stand together, and keep going. My thoughts and prayers are with those who were affected first hand, their families, the people of Paris, and the world. Peace in our earth.

5 Things for Thanksgiving

Friday, November 13, 2015

I know everyone is super excited about Christmas, and I am too, believe me I am. I'm just still very into Thanksgiving. I was thinking very hard this week and wanted to make Thanksgiving a little more special than years past. There is so much to do for Christmas, I want to make Thanksgiving at our home special too. Here are my 5 favorite ideas I found  for this Thanksgiving:

What's on my iPhone 6S

Thursday, November 12, 2015

Woohoo, I got the iPhone 6S from Jose for my birthday (thank you sweet husband)! I thought I'd share what's on my iPhone!

Influenster ComfortVoxBox

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

Having options on what to post is great, but this one got a little lost as a draft and I forgot to publish. Thank you Influenster for sending me these complimentary goodies to try! Here's what I got in my Influenster ComfortVoxBox:

Monday, November 9, 2015

Another weekend has come and gone. I'm really enjoying these not so busy weekends where we have a few things to do but are not in a rush to get from place to place.

Chatbooks Review

Friday, November 6, 2015

It has been quite a while since I first ordered my ChatBook with the code Kallie had for us to use! It was free! I was already interested in ordering a book but when I saw there was a code for a free book, I thought I had nothing to lose and went ahead and made one.

Addicted to Caffeine and Kindness

Thursday, November 5, 2015

I really love sitting down and writing typing out things I am thankful for every once in a while. I tell myself I'll do it more but when you live a fast paced life, which is just about everyone, it's hard sometimes to remember to sit and appreciate the greatness in life and how sweet some people are.

Our Save The Dates

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

When we decided it was time to get some save the dates printed we still had no idea what we wanted the colors for the wedding to be. The only thing we had was our venue. Jose was pretty upfront early on and let me know he really had no opinion on the colors. Every color combination I suggested, he liked. I'm pretty sure all he wanted was to make sure it wasn't too girly. Which was fine because I didn't want that either.

Alter Ego

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

The October glam bag came and I sort of pushed it to the side... Anyone else feel like the Ipsy hype is done and over with? Not thrilled with it but there are a few products I am excited to try out and then others I plan on passing along to someone who will get better use of them.

End of the Celebrations

Monday, November 2, 2015

Happy November, and just like that a new month. We celebrated the last of Halloween over the weekend, (here and here) and as you may have read in a previous post or two my birthday was on October 27th, (which we vlogged as well). I was also surprised over the weekend and we celebrated my last year in my 20's.
