This has been the best challenge I've ever done. I was already running before this challenge started, but this has made me keep track of what I'm doing and in response my ability to do more has grown.

Remember to use #100SummerMiles on social media so we can all see and cheer you on! Also, if you have a blog and have an update on your #100SummerMiles, be sure to link up below!

Last week's #Pena5K was a great one, Kendwy, (co-host of this link up) from MindofKiwi came! We live fairly close by and she has been meaning to make it to one, and it finally happened! There's proof... She's in our selfie!
This day I did my usual 2 miles in the AM, plus the #pena5K which should be a total of about 5 miles but I ended up walking with Kendwy and my Nike App stopped tracking in the middle of the walk and I only recorded 3.18 for the day. Kendwy sent me a picture of what we did at Deer Island, I would estimate I did at least 5 miles this day but am only going to record what my app recorded for the #100SummerMiles.
Saturday, we walked Breakheart Reservation, we vlogged this day, see here, we walked 2.43 miles.

Sunday was a total of 4.41, 3 of those was non stop running.

Monday I had a total of 5.15 miles.

Tuesday I had a total of 4.11 miles.

Wednesday I walked 6 miles.

My total (not including the two-ish miles I lost on Thursday) as of yesterday is:

My goal was to complete 15 miles every week, I should have 30 his week, instead I have just over 40. I am very happy about that.

This update is for 7/24-7/30 (Thursday-Wednesday).

I wanted to end this post with some motivation...

Be sure to follow your hosts and use #100SummerMiles so we could cheer you on. It's not too late, 5, 20, 50 or the 100 miles before summer ends is better than no miles.

Of course they are all in the nude family. What can I say, it's my go to shade. I think you can never go wrong with a nude lipstick. Hey, at least I got different finishes. From left to right: Cremesheen, Frost, Glaze and Matte.

From top to bottom:
Creme Cup, Angel, Hue and Kinda Sexy.

Left to right:
Kinda Sexy, Creme Cup, Hue, and Angel

These lipsticks I've had for about a week.. I have tried them all. Honestly, I have in to the MAC thing but these little suckers find every bit of dryness on my lips. Even the glossier ones. I have learned to have a step system if I want to wear these:
1. Exfoliate
2. Exfoliate again
3. Exfoliate once more
4. Apply lipbalm
5. Lipstick
6. Lipgloss

Ha! I may have exaggerated a bit but seriously Kinda Sexy requires lots of work. Anyway, I am glad I have them, they are nevertheless beautiful colors, pigmentation is there and they lasted through movie dates, and late night coffee drinking.

Do you love MAC lipsticks? Which do you have? Favorite formula? Let me know in the comments section below!

MOOD MONDAY-#MoodOnMonday & #ChristmasInJuly

Monday, July 28, 2014

Having a place where I can share my mood and know someone will read it or look at my photos and enjoy them, is quite refreshing to me. Sure hope you've had a fabulous weekend. I don't have many photos from this weekend, as it was a real mellow one. However, I do have a few of a very quite night, where we were out looking for calamari.

We went to the Clam Box in Ipswich, MA. Have you been or heard of it? The ride was quite, scenic and breath taking. The  road straight and green. The homes big and beautiful. The conversation soft and peaceful.

The line was out the door. The food was not fabulous, still we enjoyed ourselves very much. The Clam Box was nice, it left me wanting more, although the calamari wasn't the best I've had. The service was nice, the people waiting outside were the nicest.

Having good company can make a long and quite ride very peaceful and enjoyable. Appreciate who you have, Jose, I appreciate you.

For details on this journey please see the original post hereKendwy, from MindofKiwi, and I are inviting you to join us in completing 100 miles before the Summer ends. Yes, we started late, but it's never too late to start. Today, I am sharing my update.

On Thursday last week I walked about 2 miles in the morning, ran 3 at the #Pena5K.

Monday, I walked 2 miles in the morning, and ran 3 in the evening with my partner in crime.

Tuesday, I walked 2 miles in the morning and that afternoon we had tiny visitors, so we had races with them, they were on their bikes, so we actually ran. Jose and I  then went for a 2 mile walk.

Yesterday, I did just over 2 miles of walking in the morning, and had a date at night, so no run.

I am using the Nike Run app to track my walks/runs. It seems to be working fine. It even gives a nice summary.

My total as of yesterday is 16.37 miles, 83.63 more to go. I set a goal of 15 miles per week to reach the 100 miles before the Summer ends- I am on track to success.

Since I am walking in the morning and running at night, I pause the workout but that has been throwing my pace record off. I think starting today I will end it and start a new run.

Link up with us below to motivate each other and meet other bloggers. Use #100SummerMiles to see everyone's progress and document yours.

Let me know in the comments section below if you're running towards 100miles by the end of Summer.
