REVIEW- Maybelline Master Hi-light Bronzer

Monday, February 17, 2014

I posted a #fotd for Makeup Monday last week, see here, and I had a question on my thoughts about it and a request for swatches. I only have one so I wasn't sure if I should bother because there are plenty of other swatch videos/posts that show the whole collection or more than just one, but I figured why not.

I picked up the shade Light Bronze, because when in doubt I go light.

I picked mine up at CVS, I didn't have any coupons, I really wanted to try it so I paid full prize, $9.99. This product comes in a total of 5 shades and is fragrance free.

Maybelline claims that all 4 shades in this product can be used individually or all together. Below are swatches of all the colors. They don't have a name for each individual color, the palette as a whole is called Light Bronze.
1. Light cream
2. Light brown
3. Pink
4. Dark brown
5. All

My overall thoughts: I am not a huge fan of bronzing o using blush as I hardly use a full coverage foundation so my rosey cheeks tend to stand out already. I did want to try this because it sounded like a duo, and I actually love duty. I've been using it lightly since I got it and think it has been adding a pretty glow to my face.

Have you tried these before? Let me know what you think if you have or if you're planning on purchasing some of your own!

Thank you Mia and Carly for the request.

  1. Ohhhh!! I like those colors. You know I'm a little more on the risky side so I would totally want a bit more color. They do look a little too shimmery though. Nobody here is trying to look like they want to be cast on Twilight, so I'd probably go easy with it!
Now I must try! Maybe I'll find a coupon ;)

    1. As much as I love Twilight, I don't want to look a shimmery mess tampoco.. I go easy, really easy.. Less is more. :) Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. I like the color it blends out to when all the shades are mixed together. I haven't tried this, but it was on my 'to try' list. Glad I got to see a glimpse from you! :)

  5. Yay! So glad you did this! The swatches look so pretty! I have such a hard time paying full price for drugstore products because I feel like they're more and more expensive! It kind of reminds me of a PF bronzer I have that has a pink mixed in and can be more of a blush depending on where you swipe! :)
