First Love
Oh.. You remember what it was like to fall in love for the first time. Such bliss and excitement! Who was your first love?

Covergirl BB cream.. Which reminds me I should use again.. I have since then fallen for other bb creams.. But this is the one that started it.

Puppy Love
Before you knew your real love, there were those childhood crushes that sometimes blossomed into a cute puppy love. Who was yours?

My Lip Smackers!

Love Triangle
Such a predicament. This one is so sweet and demure, but this one is so bold and sexy. Tell us about being torn between two lovers. Who were the players in your love triangle?

I love both of these mascaras, I am rotating between both of them right now.

Current Love
Dating? Engaged? Married? Who is your main squeeze? Tell us about the one you can't live without or can't seem to let go of. Who is your current love?

I am currently in a commited engagement with my baby Garnier BB cream.

Secret Crush
Even though you're committed to your current love, looking around and admiring from afar never hurt anyone... Who are you secretly crushing on?

Secretly crushing on Dr. Jart+ .. I have a sample size and am loving it, not sure if I am loving this more than my Garnier.. UH OH!

Blind Date
Which was The One that was introduced by a friend or mailbox company e.g Ipsy that you love?
My friend Kendwy sent this to me along with other awesome products for our #friendlyswap214. Read more about that post here

Steamy Affair
Which was The One that you left your steadfast regular for; the sexy, handsome one that caught your eye and had you hooked in a Steamy Affair with?

Anastasia Brow Wiz, & I'm never going back-unless there is something better.

Sweet Temptation
Which was The One that has snagged your attention but you are only tempted by, you don't know yet whether you want a Steamy Affair or not with?

The Naked3 has my attention, I haven't gone for it because I'm not sure of the pinks. They usually make my eyes look bad.. But it is a beautiful palette and I do want it.. Decisions.

Love At First Sight
You saw it and immediately you loved it.

The colors that the Essie polishes have are to die for.. Love at first sight.

Double Date
They came in a box set; two great things for the price of one.

Tarte eye lash curler and mascara..! Great combo!

Friend Zone
You just knew he was amazing; but he's not all that. Who have you relegated to the friend zone?

I thought I was going to love this, but it clings to my dry patches.

Worst Breakup
You wanted to love him forever; but you quickly discovered that he was not 'Mr. Right.' In fact he was awful and broke your heart. Who was your worst breakup?

My worst breakup was the 12 hours Jordana Eyeshadow pencil, it is a beautiful shade of glittery pink, but it doesn't look good on my eyelids, it is patchy.

Total Loser
You were giddy when he asked you out. You had high hopes for a long relationship. Instead he was a complete dud. Who was your total loser?

Covergirl Flamed out mascara.. I try but the wand is just not for me.

Long Lost Love

You were young and he was among your firsts. You grew, you moved on, you two lost touch with each other. Recently you bumped into each other again and you remembered all the reasons you liked him. Who is your long lost love?

I purchased this base many months ago and put it away and forgot about it, recently I pulled it back out and am loving it again. I reviewed this product a few weeks ago, see here

Major Lust

You haven't yet met. You're just loving him from afar because you feel like he's out of your league. Who is your major lust?

I am lusting over the Sephora Formula X polishes, but the prices are a bit up there and I am afraid of falling in love.

I'm excited to be writing this post up. I was gifted 3 months of Birchbox for Valentine's day and I just got my box. I have of course heard of Birchbox in the past but I never subscribed because honestly, I was never sold on it. I am looking forward to playing with these goodies and see if I will want to keep getting the boxes.

If you don't know what Birchbox is, it is also a beauty subscription box, like Ipsy. It is also $10/month but from what I see it is a little less customizable.
A good thing about this subscription service is that they give you an overview of what the full size prices are and a "what" and "how" about the product.

Here are the goodies in this month's box:

Beauty Protector  Protect & Detangle

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

INIKA Eyeliner in Green Lagoon

Ahmad Tea London Assorted Tea

Mox Botanicals Bath Milks

So, what did you think? I definitely will be trying most of these products, the tea I have to my aunt who is a tea lover.

Let me know in the comments section below if you are subscribed to
Birchbox and if we got similar products.

If you would like to start getting your own box every month, use my link-I get points and you can then start referring your own friends as well! Click here

UPDATE: Review on #friendlyswap214

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

I wanted to write an update post on the products that I received from Kendwy in our #friendlyswap214, go see everything I got here

Getting right into it:

I am loving this 3-way buffer, I posted a picture on my Instagram, I have used it every time I have done a manicure.

This stays in my purse. I have dry winter hands. Enough said.

These came right on time, I am using this while on vacation!! I love that the shampoo and conditioner are for scalp and hair therapy. Sounds good to me.

This stuff is awesome, like I said above, I have dry skin and this leaves my skin feeling hydrated without the oily feeling and mess.

I also tried and LOVED the ELF lip gloss, but left it at work over the weekend so I couldn't take a picture of it... GRR!

I am so happy I was able to do this swap with such a great friend. She is awesome and does great lifestyle posts, and fantastic DIY projects around her home.

Go say hi to Kendwy, here

I look forward to Ipsy, do you?

If you don't know what Ipsy is, here is a brief description: it is a $10/month beauty subscription service that promises products for you to try every month.
It comes in a make-up bag, and you can cancel at any time.
Once you sign up you could get rewarded with points if you invite friends to join.

If you would love to receive beauty products like the following, click here and subscribe to Ipsy with my link. Let me know if you do so I could thank you. You could subscribe on your own too.

This month's theme is The Look of Love, which was fitting for Valentine's day. The products came in a beautiful pink makeup bag with a pretty leopard detail inside.

On to the goodies:

As many of you may be tired of reading, I love a good bb cream. I don't like the way most foundations feel on my face, and personally I don't think I need super coverage so bb creams suit me best. I'm always happy to get a new one to try.
IPKN NY Moist & Firm BB

Tiny Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow and Base in one
The color is Ambrosia and this stuff was so hard to get off after I swatched it-a good sign of it's staying power.

I think I will be saving this next product for a future giveaway. I will be saving products I get from subscription boxes that I don't think will work for me and will have a giveaway on a social media site so stay tuned for that. I got this idea from Kallie, she posted a giveaway of products that she has doubles of on her Instagram (<---- check out her IG, and let her know I sent you) a few days ago and I totally thought it would be a great idea to post a giveaway of items I have that won't work for me as a giveaway as well.
City Color Matte Blush

I am a polish fanatic.. More polish? Yes, thank you! Love a good pink nude!
Zoya Nail Polish in Dot

I wish I wouldn't have opened this one.. It is too bold/bright for me, I am just a neutral kind of girl.. It would be beautiful on someone else who was more daring with their lip color.
POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini

This is in Peony Petal.. Wish it was more pink.

As always, I am pleased with my bag. I can't wait to dig in to my products and start using them.

If you want to start getting your own Ipsy bag,

This is my first What I ate Wednesday post, and I'm kind of excited about sharing my not so glam meals on a typical day. Keep in mind I am not the best eater.. I listen to my body and stop eating when in full, something I didn't know how to do before.

A little background on my eating habits:
  • I used to be big on sugar drinks, especially sodas.. I cut soda out of my diet and will only have on a rare occasion (at a party, and sometimes not even then).
  • I drink as many cups of water as I can throughout the day.
  • I love bread, and it's something I can't cut out completely but most of the time I limit as a treat on the weekends.
  • I used to eat late, I cut that out as well, and eat smaller meals, with snacks in between.

Because of the job that I have my eating schedule varies depending on the babies.. So, lately my weekday meals have been looking like this:

I always have a medium hot regular from Dunks on my way to work..! Always!

I have a tall glass of water before I have my oatmeal and another one when I'm done. I usually have a whole banana on top of my Quaker Maple instant oatmeal and today I added cinnamon to make it look prettier, but usually I don't add the cinnamon.

Mid morning I will have a fruit snack: Today, a green apple, and a tall glass of water.

For lunch I usually have leftovers, from the night before but today I didn't have any and I was in a rush this morning so I made a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread, with a glass of water.

Mid afternoon I will have a snack: Today a Trader Joe's Peanut butter Granola bar..! These are to die for! I also have another tall glass of water.

I will usually have another fruit snack around 4pm, right before I leave work, today: a green mango and another tall glass of water.

For dinner, today I made white rice and chicken with a veggie sauce. It was delicious, and I had it with you guessed it, a tall glass of water!

Before bed after a meal like this I'll only have water, if I had another small meal I would normally have a small fruit and more water.

This is what my typical weekday meals look like.. Of course they vary throughout depending on leftover meals and what I have at home to bring to work with me.. The weekends are a different story. Maybe I'll post a what I ate Sunday-Maybe not.

REVIEW- Maybelline Master Hi-light Bronzer

Monday, February 17, 2014

I posted a #fotd for Makeup Monday last week, see here, and I had a question on my thoughts about it and a request for swatches. I only have one so I wasn't sure if I should bother because there are plenty of other swatch videos/posts that show the whole collection or more than just one, but I figured why not.

I picked up the shade Light Bronze, because when in doubt I go light.

I picked mine up at CVS, I didn't have any coupons, I really wanted to try it so I paid full prize, $9.99. This product comes in a total of 5 shades and is fragrance free.

Maybelline claims that all 4 shades in this product can be used individually or all together. Below are swatches of all the colors. They don't have a name for each individual color, the palette as a whole is called Light Bronze.
1. Light cream
2. Light brown
3. Pink
4. Dark brown
5. All

My overall thoughts: I am not a huge fan of bronzing o using blush as I hardly use a full coverage foundation so my rosey cheeks tend to stand out already. I did want to try this because it sounded like a duo, and I actually love duty. I've been using it lightly since I got it and think it has been adding a pretty glow to my face.

Have you tried these before? Let me know what you think if you have or if you're planning on purchasing some of your own!

Thank you Mia and Carly for the request.
