NEW YEAR'S EVE CHOICES

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

When I was thinking about what polish to wear for New Years Eve, all I could think about was something solid and metal. I looked into my collection to see what I could find and these are the three choices.

From left to right:
Liquid Metal by Julie G, Nothing else metals by Essie & You-inverse by Julie G.

Liquid Metal is a penny like color, smooth on the nails and sparkly without the glitter.

Nothing else metals is a purply metallic color, absolutely stunning, and has a very smooth finish on the nails.

Lastly, You-inverse is a green/yellow metallic, very pretty, looks more green under direct light.

Let me know what are you wearing tonight & help me choose my color!

Thank you all so very much for coming by and reading, sure hope everyone has a wonderful night and a very blessed New Year!

❤️❤️ Also, thank you to everyone who subscribed to is on YouTube and watch our vlogs, see you next year! ❤️❤️

THE END.

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

This was meant to be a Monday post. However, it is hard getting back into the swing of things after having so much time off, so this is a Tuesday post.

The end of VLOGMAS arrived and I looked back at how much fun we had doing VLOGMAS this year. We are glad we took the challenge and will have to look back on years from now. We didn't miss a day of vlogging, but we did miss uploading a vlog when we went to the Great Wolf Lodge (wifi service was terrible). So we uploaded two the next day.
I want to share some of our Christmas time photos, but if you want to see more you can watch our VLOGMAS playlist here.

How was your Christmas? Did you travel? Stay put, have a big party? Intimate gathering? Let me know in the comments section below!

THE ONE NIGHT GETAWAY

Monday, December 22, 2014

It's been so sweet to meet some new bloggers with the Monday Morning Gossip. Sad to see it go but happy to have been a part of it.

Today, I'm sharing my weekend gossip!
I have been trying to finish my shopping before Christmas and it got harder with the one night getaway I planned.

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, from Saturday to Sunday. We were able to take my niece Hailey and Emily was super excited to have a friend to play with.

Use #GWLHOWLIDAYS to see more photos and go see our vlogs, we vlogged a ton.

The water park was great, they have slides, according to the girls one was faster than the other one and they preferred the slow one. They have an indoor hot tub that leads you outside. While we were outisde it snowed, it was a great experience.

The lobby had a few activities for the kids, there was a story time hour, meet the characters, Santa was available for a short time to take photos and there was snow during the dance party!

A great plus for all of you coffee drinkers, there is a Dunkin Donuts on site! I scored big time!

There is an on site restaurant which you should make reservations for. We ended up going out to eat at the Outback, but had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, buffet style.

We loved the life size ginger bread house, I made Jose taste it to see if it was ginger bread, he says it taste like brick. Whoops.

Did I forget to mention we got these cool wolf ears for our stay. Everyone walked around with them and we used then for our lobby activities, including the Wolf Walk.

The staff decorated different trees to be entered to win overal best. The girls favorite was the Frozen tree of course, Jose loved the Ninja Turtle one.

What do you think? Have you been here?

BRIDEZILLA MOMENT #1

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

I've watched all the shows and have heard of so many moments when things get ugly during wedding planning.

Maybe because I have not been on full out wedding planning mode or maybe because I am rather simple and patient. Or so I thought.

I went to pick up my dress after I got an email letting me know it was ready for pick up. I didn't know I had to do this, for some crazy reason I thought the dress would stay there for fittings until the wedding day. It makes sense now why they wouldn't store it for me.

I go to pick it up and I'm told I should try it on again. I'm glad I did because I fell in love with it all over again.

Here we go:
I was told they need to add buttons to my dress to hold up the bussel.
I don't want to add anything to the dress, the dress is perfect the way it is, no buttons, no way. Find a different way to do it. Vera Wang and buttons, are you kidding? How come I wasn't told before I purchased the dress? Where is she? I'm so mad.
So many thoughts came to my head in a matter of the two seconds it took them to tell me my dress needs "buttons".

I feel rather bad now, because I let them know how I felt. Later, my consultant told me not to feel bad as my reaction was "not as bad" as others she's had.

Today, a few weeks later, I understand the need for the buttons and am sure it will look fine as everyone with that big of a dress needs a bussle.

That day, I didn't understand a word the lady was telling me, I wasn't having it. I didn't want to hear it. I didn't want to add anything. I even thought of having the dress down for the reception.

Bridezilla moments they call it. I hope I don't have anymore. I'll call this a VeZilla moment since it could have been worst.

Sorry, there aren't any pictures in this post, as I don't want to show my dress. My fiancé is my biggest fan and reads my posts.

THE NANNY WEARS MAKEUP

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

The nanny wears makeup is back. I love doing these posts because I get to talk about two of my favorite things. Makeup and being a nanny.

I started my new position a few weeks ago, and everything is going very smoothly. Most of the time, I run out the door with nothing but lip balm on my lips.

On the days that I wake up with enough time to use a few products... This is what I have been grabbing.

It's been a battle with the concealer, these are the two I have been switching back and forth with- the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous and Jane concealer.

I am not worried about super bold and big lashes for work so I have been trying to use up my Rocket Mascara, it gives me very natural looking lashes.

No color on the brows, just clear gel to keep them in place.

The Sugar fresh balm has been great these last couple of weeks. It gives me a sheer red color (perfect for this time of the year) and keeps them moisturized.

Lastly, I have been really enjoying opening up my eyes with the Rimmel liner in nude.

I'm always interested to see what other people wear for work.. Are you allowed to use more?
