Top 5 Winter Must Have items

Friday, November 15, 2013

BRRR! It's cold! If you don't already know, I'm from Boston, MA & I am a nanny who loves to venture off to the city. Being a nanny in the city means that you're constantly out and about, looking for new playgroups and play dates for your little ones. I wont choose to stay in because it's a little chilly out there (unless it's REALLY cold) .. I bundle up my baby boy with his must have winter items (including a new L.L Bean Stroller warmer, Snow Bunting), and with my must have items we are on the go!

I'm naturally always cold, I get the chills & goosebumps constantly. I'm very grateful for my human heater, check out and follow my human heater here :) Tell him I said hello!

For days that my human heater is not with me I need these items that will help me beat the cold and get through what comes with the cold, EXTRA DRY SKIN!

On to my TOP 5 WINTER MUST HAVES

Northface Coat with hoodie

A pricey coat, yes. However, this is definitely worth it. I am a baby when it comes to being cold, although I do love this city, I really cringe when I have to be outside in the cold. I have this coat in black and gray (the gray was a gift).

Northface hat

You will sweat with this hat on your head, I got this as a gift one Christmas and I treasure it because it is the warmest hat I have ever had. A bit pricey, but like the coat, Northface is worth it when it comes to keeping you warm in the cold Winters we get in Boston.

Gloves with smart touch thumb and pointer

If you're anything like me, you will love having a pair of these! They are thick enough to be warm, but thin enough to not get in the way of doing things with your hands. I love the smart touch pointer and thumb because I don't have to take them off when i am on the go and on the phone. These were from Target.

Hunter Rain boots and Moss Welly Socks

I have the gray tall Uggs as well that are nice and warm, but these with the socks are both warm and water proof, a fantastic double play. The boots I have had for a few years, these socks were a birthday gift. You can see what else I got for my birthday here

Socks come individually so technically that's 5.. If I could add one other Winter must have, it would be an intense body lotion.

This one was a recommendation from Liliana , she blogs at Beautywithlily. Check her out and let her know I sent you. Thank you Liliana, I am obsessed with his lotion!

  1. Good picks! I lived in northern Maine for 3-1/2 years and I became a pro at keepin warm while our. We lived near Acadia national Park so the scenery was beautiful all year round and I was always outside with the dogs. North face (or LL Bean) jacket is a must! For sure! And those smart touch gloves! I also had a pair of earmuffs that doubled as headphone, they were amazing! Haha

  4. I am loving those boots! I need to get a pair of techy gloves I always hate when I have to take my glove off to work my phone! I think I may also need to invest in a heavy coat, I feel like winter in NY this year is going to be a rough one! Great picks :)
