Thankful for Blogger Friends Tag!

Today I am going to be doing the "Thankful for Blogger Friends Tag" created by Karen from KPsays. I saw this tag on Hope's blog from beautyandbliss67, be sure to check them both out and let them know I sent you!

I thought this was a great idea, since we are in the season of being thankful, and I am sure we are all very thankful for our blogger friends. There are 14 questions about your blog, and 14 questions about you... On to the questions!

ABOUT YOUR BLOG (Please be specific in your answers, so we can all learn something!):
1. How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for a little over a month.

2. Are there any bloggers who helped you out/encouraged you when you first started your blog?
I came into this not knowing anyone, however, quite a few bloggers have been super supportive from the very first few days of me starting. Hope, Liliana and Laurie, check them out and let them know I sent you. They are amazing!

3. What Social Media has given you the most traffic to your blog? Is there a platform that you don’t use?
I use Instagram, Twitter and Facebook the most. I am also on Bloglovin', & Pinterest. I do not use tumbler, maybe one day? All of my links will be down below! Make sure to follow :) !

4. How often do you post? Do you have a regular schedule?
My schedule has been posting 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, but on a holiday or if I am unable to post on one day during the week I'll post  on Saturday. This week was Thanksgiving, so I didn't post on Thursday, hence this post today :)

5. Where do you blog?
Before I was blogging from my bed! I have recently been able to get my office space so I now post on my chair in my office! :) SO lucky!

6. What camera do you use? What photo editing software do you use?
Most of my pictures are from my iPhone and I don't edit them for my blog, I only add my name with Beautiful Mess. I also have a Sony Cybershot.

7. How did you come up with your blog name?
VeroSays! I have to give complete credit to Wilfredo! My blog web designer, check out more about Wilfredo here! We brainstormed for a few minutes and he had some good choice, I loved it and went for it!

8. Do you do any regular “series” posts on your blog?
No set series yet.. Any ideas? The closest to a series that I've done are monthly favorites and the Ipsy bags that I've done monthly!

9. What draws you to a blog?
Things that draw me to blogs are when they are clear and simple. I don't like not knowing where to look first.

10. What turns you off of a blog?
A huge turnoff is definitely when bloggers don't post often.

11. How many blogs do you subscribe to? Are they all beauty related?
79! Most are beauty related, some offer home decor or random things.

12. When do you generally read blogs?
Most of the time at night!

13. What is your favorite type of post, and why?
I enjoy getting to know people, so TAG posts are fun and I love to see reviews. I love getting a preview of certain products before purchasing myself.

14. What is your least favorite type of post, and why?
I like all posts but I don't like when it is just a picture and not much said about the current post.

NOW ABOUT YOU!! (If any are any you prefer not to answer, just skip!):
1. Where do you live? Tell us a bit about your city!
I live in Boston! I am a total everything Boston fan! Boston is very historical and a great city for tourists! Boston Strong!

I live right outside of the city, it's a gray single family home, with a huge backyard.

9. 3 words to describe yourself.
Responsible, Dedicated, Sweet :)

10. Who is your style icon, and why?
I don't believe in style icons, and to be honest, I dress the way I like and don't follow many trends. I do love LC, and think she is just amazing, and smart.

11. 3 favorite bands/musicians.

Growing up I would hear women in my family talking about Mary Kay products and how much they enjoyed the brand. When I first started to use makeup I never thought about purchasing anything from the line, mostly because it wasn't easily available to me. Fast forward to a few months ago, I started to use a few of their skin care products and have started to look at the brand itself a whole lot different.

Today I am bringing to you a post on a  skin care product line from Mary Kay and my first giveaway!!

This post is on skin care products, however,
the giveaway is valid for anything on the website.

These products were gifted to me by Ingrid Hernandez a Mary Kay Ind Sales Director. I will add all of her info down below. I was not asked to do upload a blog post on these products, and these are my honest opinions on the products. Also, the giveaway is also being provided by Mary Kay through the Ind Sales Director, Ingrid Hernandez.

This is what I received. Four products inside a plastic case and two outside. These are travel size products, which I love that they have for easy traveling.

3-in-1 Cleanser
This cleanser is a fragrance free cream consistency with tiny pink/red beads to lightly exfoliate the skin. My dry skin has been responding great to this.

Age-Fighting Moisturizer
When I think of age fighting, I get a little worried, "do I really need this", I guess you can never start too early to "fight aging" hehe.. This is a white cream, lighter than the cleanser. It is oil and fragrance free and leaves my skin very moisturized.

Day Solution Sunscreen broad spectrum SPF 35
It has a pump!! I love products that come with a pump. Even in the winter, if you are going to spend some time in the sun, it is beneficial to protect your skin with SPF. This definitely has the sunscreen smell, but it is not overpowering like others.

Night Solution
This night solution also has a pump.
It is a night solution light weight gel, with a tiny hint of smell, a good smell.

Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20
If you have been following my blog, you would know I am obsessed with BB creams and that I have dry skin. This is not a BB cream but a tinted moisturizer with SPF. I have been using this tinted moisturizer on a daily basis since I got it.

Intense Moisturizing Cream
This one is for dry skin specifically-WOOHOO! I love these products, this stays in my handbag for whenever I need it. This claims to keep skin hydrated for up to 10 hours. I have used it in the AM at work and haven't needed to reapply until I get home, that is almost 10 hours.

Contact Ingrid Hernandez for more information on this or other Mary Kay products:

I went for it as soon as I saw this amazing deal on QVC from Tarte. It is still available on QVC for $54.98 + shipping.

What caught my eye was the fact that this has so many possibilities as far as gifts are concerned. I purchased this set for myself, however, if you wanted to gift some of these products you can.

Gift options:
The three boxes all together
One box each
Mix and match
As far as mix and match is concerned, you could separate a mascara, and eye pencil and a lip product or two and create a gift set and still have another mascara, eye pencil and lip product, as well as the whole eye shadow palette.

Here are the boxes set up with the bow, ready to gift!

Tarte Bow & Go 3-in-1 Holiday Collection

Tarte LipSurgence

Precious, Promise, Thoughtful and Wonder

2 SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Water proof liners & 2 Lights Camera Lashes Mascaras

Brown & Fig

Amazonian clay eye shadow palette

I used the shadows, eye pencil and mascara for a Thanksgiving eye look idea-see that here. I am loving the palette, the colors are not super bright or crazy colors, which I enjoy.

If you haven't picked this set up, you should consider it. Either for yourself or as gifts for the makeup lovers in your life!

Hi ladies,

I recently signed up for a Julep maven box and wanted to share with you what I got.

*Referral Link is included in post.

Just like the Ipsy Glam bag, this is a subscription box you pay monthly and you get products in return. See what I got in my last Ipsy bag here, and start your Ipsy subscription service here

In this box you get Julep nail polish for $19.99 a month, and the products you get depend on the quiz you took to describe you and your likes.

The styles are, It Girl, Boho Glam, Bombshell, Classic with a Twist and Modern Beauty.

My first box (It Girl) was free to try, and I added a nail polish. These are all full size products. Some styles give you two nail polish and a different product and Modern beauty gives you one full size product.  It Girl gives you three nail polishes. I got a total of four today because I added one to my order.

From left to right: Libby, Bunny,  Nellie and Elle

The polishes have a white area on the top of each cover, here you can swatch the color to make it easier to find the colors you want if you're storing your polishes standing up in a drawer. I recently switched up my nail polish storage, but this is a neat feature, and I'm sure would come in handy to many.

Interesting fact about this subscription service:
The 20th of each month you get an email with the colors in that month's box, if you don't like that month's colors, you can skip that month, or you can send it to a friend as a gift. This is a great feature, you are never in a contract and can cancel at any time.

Sign up now to start getting your nail polishes, use my link here
Your first box is free with my link or without.

Let me know if you sign up or if you already get these polishes.
What did you get this month? What style are you?
